Ugly Dolls are super cute!

Uglydolls Pointy Max

Ugly Dolls, the greatest creation since the light bulb. Ok we're exaggerating... again. We're a little prone to that, but we just love the stuff we sell.

Did you know that we were one of the first retailers in the UK to stock the Ugly Doll back in 2003. Ice Bat was the best seller as we recall.

Ugly Dolls were first designed in 2001 by creators David Horvath and Sun-Min Kim. The story goes that
while Sun-Min Kim was visiting Korea, David wrote many 'love letters' and started to draw a cute little character called Wage, at the bottom. Sun-Min then sewed Wage into a plush doll and sent him to David as a surprise gift, how thoughtful eh? David asked Sun-Min to sew a couple more for the Giant Robot store in Los Angeles and they sold out in one day! Delighted with the sales, they decided to create a whole range of Ugly Dolls and launched them at the New York toy fair. Since those early days these awesome plush toys have managed to captivate the world with their unique brand of ugly beauty.

So now you know how the Ugly Dolls came into being.
